Kramer Auctions Ltd. Company Background

TODAY'S CHANGING WORLD
With today's technology boom,
environmental concerns, changing
world markets and search for new
energy supplies, farming is changing
rapidly. From the early days with a
horse and plow to today's modern
farming methods with GPS autosteer
controlled equipment, times
have changed. As farming practices
are changing so is the auction
business. From the day of the simple
auctioneer with modest equipment
and staff to today's modern
auctioneer with sound trucks, trailers,
numerous staff, computerized
clerking, world wide advertising and
live internet bidding.
ONE OF WESTERN CANADA'S LEADING AUCTIONEERS Kramer's conduct
over 100 auctions annually throughout the prairie provinces. They have seen steady
growth in both the quantity and size of the auctions they conduct. The territory where
their auctions are held has also been expanding every year.

PROGRESS THROUGH THE YEARS The late Eiling Kramer who was a long time
auctioneer, rancher and well-known politician founded Kramer Auctions Ltd. in 1949. The
auctions of those days were a lot different than today. They were mainly a local event
that lasted all day and sometimes into the evening. Auctions were rather simple without
a sound system or bidder numbers and only working with one ringman and a
clerk/cashier. In 1970 Eiling's son Neil Kramer attended auction school and began full
time work with the company. Neil's wife Monica joined the operation shortly after as the
company was rapidly expanding. Neil and Monica and staff have conducted several
hundred auctions since that time and have enjoyed success as one of the regions top
auction firms. The third generation of Kramers joined the team in 1997 when Kim and
Brendan Kramer, and shortly after, Michael Higgs began full time work with the
company. In 1998 the Kramers expanded operations with the construction of the "Big
Bid Barn" auction facility. The facility is the home to the head office, equipment and
livestock auction yards and the trailer dealership. Kramer Auctions Ltd. is currently
conducting over 100 auctions annually. Throughout the years Kramer's have realized
vast changes in the auction industry: the way auctions are presented, promoted and
conducted. From the introduction of sound systems and auction trucks, to the
importance of today's internet technology, they have been through it all.
THE AUCTION ADVANTAGE Auctions are an age-old method of selling property.
They are a key part of history in our world. From the early years of the settlers to today's
modern world nearly everything has been traded by auction in some unique way. A
well-run auction with competitive bidding has always dictated current market value.
Today's auctions are seen as a choice place to do business for both buyers and sellers
alike. Sellers can successfully disperse assets in a short period of time with limited stress
or negotiations. Buyers can purchase equipment direct from quality operations through
the bidding process where they set the price. With today's technology auctions are
stronger and more popular than ever. Auctions remain the "Marketing Method of
