About Us

Kramer Auctions is a third generation family owned and operated business. Kramer Auctions Ltd. was founded in 1949 by the late Eiling Kramer. Eiling's auction business began as a part time conducting mainly farm auctions as well announcing numerous livestock and community events. In 1970 Eiling's son Neil Kramer and his wife Monica joined the business. They grew the business conducting hundreds of farm equipment auctions throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. In 1998 Neil & Monica's sons Kim and Brendan joined the company and shortly after son-in-law Michael Higgs. Kramer Auctions Ltd. currently conducts over 100 auctions a year consisting of farm equipment, industrial and commercial equipment. They have also conducted numerous successful Real Estate auctions over recent years.

Our future plans are to continue to grow the equipment auction business as well as further expand our Real Estate services. We will to continue conducting several equipment auctions annually. It will be business as usual with the same services & people you have grown to trust. We plan to further expand our Real Estate services to include Real Estate Auctions, Traditional Real Estate services as well as some other exciting services that are currently being developed. Our customers will enjoy having more great auctions to participate in.

We are extremely excited about expanding our Real Estate services. Kramer Auctions - Real Estate Division's new services will offer a more complete service to clients planning farm dispersals or when handling estates. This fast effective method of selling and buying Real Estate is gaining popularity world wide. Sellers want the best value in a reasonable time frame. Ed brings to the Real Estate industry many years of experience and training, having been a full time Realtor since 1986, and having completed additional education in the specialties of commercial real estate, corporate residential relocation and real estate appraisal. In 2006, Ed completed the Real Estate Broker education requirements. With more than 40 years of active experience in the local grain and livestock industry, Ed is also well qualified in the area of rural & farm real estate.

Over the course of his real estate career, Ed has achieved many achievement recognition awards with three major real estate franchises - Canada Trust, Coldwell Banker and RE/MAX. Ed has also served several terms as director with the Association of Battlefords Realtors. Ed makes it his business to keep at the leading edge of technology, and consistently applies it to the business of real estate. Neil graduated from the Western College of Auctioneering in Billings, Montana in 1970 and has been an active member of the Saskatchewan Auctioneers Association since the early 1970's. He was President in 1981 & 1999 and on the board of directors several times along with being a member of the Alberta, Canadian and the National Auctioneers Association. In 1996 Neil received the Battlefords Citizen of the Year Award for his many years of community fundraising and the Toastmaster International Achievement Award in 1998 & 1999 for Communications Leadership. In 2000 Neil competed in the All Round Canadian & All round World Auctioneering Competition and won both titles. Neil attributes most of his auction skills from spending time travelling and working auctions with his father, the late Eiling Kramer, who was a long-time auctioneer and rancher. Neil is also a past real estate salesman where he specialized in the sale of farmland.

Kim has been employed by Neil Kramer Auctions Ltd. full time since 1997 and grew up working around the family auction business. He currently holds the positions of auctioneer, appraiser and sales representative. He has attended the:

• Certified Appraisers Guild of America-Kansas City, Missouri
• World Wide College of Auctioneering-Mason City, Iowa
• Certified Auctioneers Institute - Bloomington, Indiana

Kim Kramer manages many of the equipment and real estate auctions. He also manages the marketing and promotional duties for the company. Kim, his wife Alison and son's Randen and Millar live in North Battleford.

Brendan started working with the family business as a youngster where he worked as a ringman, clerk and cashier while doing setups after school and on weekends. Brendan started full time employment with Kramer Auctions Ltd. after graduating in 1997. He has become a great asset to the company offering many years of involvement in the family trait. Brendan graduated from the World wide College of Auctioneering in 2000 and has completed the Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate class in 2007. He is a member of the Saskatchewan & Alberta Auctioneer Associations. Brendan currently works as one our auction sale representatives. Brendan enjoys working the auction sales where he gets to interact with buyers & sellers. Also as Trailer Sales Manager, Brendan focuses on ordering and selling our lines of Southland, Royal, Norbert's, Nash Car and Duralite Aluminum trailers. During the livestock sale season Brendan manages our livestock auctions at the Big Bid Barn. Brendan and his wife Shannon along with their children Ryleigh, Jace, Kylan and Hunter live in North Battleford. Brendan enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as camping, hunting, fishing and golfing.

Michael began working with Kramer Auctions Ltd. in 1992. Having currently graduated in March 2009 from Billings -Western College of Auctioneering he is employed as an auctioneer, auction co-ordinator, professional ring-man and a trailer salesman. Michael also manages the staff required to assist in the setup of your sale. He and his wife Joelle (Kramer) live in North Battleford and have two children.
